Thanks for helping us test Slated.ai!
Thanks for agreeing to be one of the first people to use Slated.  We've been working hard to get it ready. Before we set up your account, we just wanted to go through a couple of important points to make sure you're comfortable. If you're not comfortable, you don't have to continue — and you can wait until Slated is more mature. The points we discuss here apply in addition to our full Terms and Conditions.

What you'll need
During testing, you'll need to connect your Google account to sign up. You can learn more about how we'll use data from your Google account in our Privacy Policy.

What you should expect
This is a "pre-release" version of Slated. This means you're likely to run into problems. For example, you might see...
Bugs. From time to time, our software might misbehave. This might make it difficult or frustrating to use.
Lag. Over time, we'll optimise and tune Slatedto make it faster and more responsive. In the early stages, you're likely to notice a bit of lag from time to time.
Downtime. At the moment, we're not providing 24/7 "on-call" support for the service, so it might experience periods of downtime. If the service goes down, you might not be able to access it. In the worst case, it might take several hours for us to bring Slated back online.
Data loss. During early testing, there's a small possibility that a bug or problem with our systems could lead to all or part of your data being permanently lost. We don't think this is likely to happen, but there's always a chance.
SecurityIn the unlikely event that you find a security issue with Slated, you agree to notify us as soon as you can on the community Slack or via email at support@slated.ai.

If things go wrong
During our Alpha and Beta testing, we're providing Slated "as is". This means that, in the event that something goes wrong, we don't accept any liability (to the extent that the law allows). By taking part in our test, you agree that we don't have any obligations towards you, and you understand that we're not providing any guarantees or a warranty.

Reviews of Slated
Since we're still so early in our development, we're not ready for people to start reviewing Slated in public yet. By signing up as an Alpha tester, you agree not to share any reviews of Slated without asking us for our written permission. You are allowed to post screenshots, and you are allowed to share the fact that you're helping us. We would love for you to share positive and negative feedback on the community Slack, and on our feedback board.
Once Slated leaves Alpha, this restriction will be removed entirely — and you'll be free to share any reviews of Slated. We'll let you know when we reach this milestone.

Finally
Our Main Terms will also apply to your use of Slated (although this Tester Agreement will take priority during Alpha and Beta testing) and you will need to agree to our Main Terms when you create your account.
We'd like to reassure you that we've been testing Slated as thoroughly as we can. We only release software when we feel it's ready. And when we do, we roll it out slowly to give us extra confidence. We just wanted to be transparent about the sort of issues we might run into, to help you make an informed decision.
We are so grateful for your support, and we hope you enjoy using Slated as much as we've enjoyed creating it.
